You’ve reached Lisi Howell’s, website. I’m a multi-disciplinary designer, classically trained in graphic design, but as the years and technology and fields progress, so do my learnings and capabilities. I am heavily focused on the user centered approach to design and problem solving — always needing to find the most functional and pleasing flow through any given interaction, as well as the most visually stimulating and connecting. I work in design research, user experience, interaction design and visual design. I facilitate large groups and inject positivity, enthusiasm and passion in all my projects.
I have been engaged as a Design Impact (DI) Fellow in India for the past 4.5 months. I work with Quest Alliance, an education innovation NGO in Bangalore. It’s been incredibly instrumental in allowing me to see my work in action when experiencing on the ground interaction with schools, teachers, and students. I’m constantly in awe of the massive change affected with dedicated individuals combined with simple, effective design that touches the user differently, allowing them to think outside of the box they had built around themselves. To see some of my work with DI, please check out Design Research and User Experience.

While at frog design I worked on projects ranging from conceptual wearables, telecom strategy, behavior change within a demographic, websites, data visualization and illustration, finally (I would be remiss as a designer in SF if I didn’t work on…), apps on iPhone/Android/Windows/tablet, Please email me to learn more about what I’m up to.
